Main Duties and Responsibilities:
✓ Learn the measurement protocol for recently planted trees and instruct/assist students and other volunteers so they may collect and record accurate field data.
✓ Ensure that team members understand what they are doing and why as full participants in a climate change laboratory in an urban setting.
✓ Prepare mini-status report re Quadrat(s) completed as part of overview for season’s report
✓ Cleaning and inventory of field equipment before winter storage at the end of season
Work location: ACER biodiversity/climate change laboratory, located in the valley below the Humber College Arboretum along the Humber River.
Time Commitment per season:
In Spring and Fall Field Season from 1 day to 2 weeks.
Start and End Date:
✓ Spring: Usually first 2 weeks May
✓ Fall: Usually last 2 weeks in October
Training Session:
At beginning of each season noted above.
